Stock Market Closing, August 10, 2023: After the Reserve Bank's monetary review policy (RBI MPC meeting), selling dominated the market and today the Sensex-Nifty (Sensex-Nifty) closed in the red mark on the weekly expiry day. Today, the Sensex closed at a level of 307,63.0 with a decline of 47.65 points, or 688.18 per cent. Apart from this, the Nifty index fell 89.45 points, or 0.46 percent, to close at 19,543.10 level.
Pressure on Banking Sector:
The results of the monetary policy were released by the Reserve Bank of India, in which there was no change in the repo rate rates. After today's business, there has been a lot of pressure on the banking and financial sector.
Apart from this, the merger of Zee Entertainment and Sony has been approved today, after which the media sector has gained momentum. ZEEL's stock closed today with a gain of 16 percent.
